Check out CDBaby.com for one crapload of independent music. There's some really good stuff in there that I doubt you've ever heard of before. And they provide 2-minute MP3 (128kbps) and realaudio previews for most albums. Take a listen, for example, at Daughter Darling (thanks Tim). Great voice, cool music. Very wantable. From Singapore comes Throb. Described as "the best chill music", I really dig this. Then there's Kin Za Za. Now that I love. No hesitation, order sent out straight away. I hope to get it in soon. The company itself seems great too. Unlike most websites like these, they run on OpenBSD, don't use IE-only html (in fact, they recommend Mozilla or Opera), and don't store your credit-card info. Yes, this means you have to type it in every time you order. It also means no one can get at sensitive information. Have a look at the about section for more info.
